Calia Italia at the Internazionali BNL d’Italia in Rome

Calia Italia will complement five lounges at the Foro Italico in Rome introducing a limited edition version of the Poli easy chair inspired by the history of tennis.

The 74th edition of the Italian Open tennis tournament, one of the world’s greatest tennis events known officially as the Internazionali BNL d’Italia, will start on Wednesday, May 10 at the Foro Italico in Rome.

Calia Italia will play a major role in the event by fitting out the five lounges at the Foro Italico.

Calia Italia will in fact complement the “VIP Lounges” with five models: the Privè, which stands out for the geometric shapes of its seats and the extra comfort reached thanks to the use of quilts; the Duca, an elegant, timeless sofa; the Belle Epoque, enhanced by an unmistakable capitonnè upholstery process, and the Modula, with its numberless configurations.

The Sala Presidenziale, on the other hand, will feature a limited edition of the Poli easy chair, especially revamped for the occasion: a pattern velvet cover that recalls the history of tennis, with a special mention to the sportswear used by the athletes starting from 19th century.

From 14th to 21st May, the lounges will also host the fifth edition of the art and design exhibition “Le Joie de Vivre”, whose main subject will be youth, organized by Ex-Elettrofonica contemporary art gallery and by architect Daniele Dalla Porta, who designed models Modula, Privè and Duca for Calia Italia.
