Matheola

Matheola is the primordial name of Matera, a name that holds the essence of its origins and gives shape to this design, deeply inspired by the land where it was born. Generous in scale and presence, Matheola invites the whole family into a shared comfort experience. Its wide, welcoming seat can be further extended in depth, while a refined mechanism allows the backrest to glide backward, increasing both seat depth and back height for a new level of relaxation. Defined by a modern, essential aesthetic, Matheola is an extremely versatile model, offering both linear and corner configurations to adapt seamlessly to different living spaces.

For Salone del Mobile 2026, Matheola evolves through two new interpretations. The one-arm version expands, becoming almost a two-seater, while the armless version introduces an unexpected geometry that enhances seat depth. The result is a dynamic, asymmetrical composition—designed to adapt, transform, and stand out.
