Calia Italia at Salon du Meuble de Bruxelles

From 3rd to 6th November Calia Italia will attend the Salon du Meuble in Brussels. Held for the first time in 1937 as a domestic exhibition, the Salon du Meuble de Bruxelles has grown into one of the furniture sector’s key professional international trade shows. Companies coming from France, Italy, the Netherlands, Germany, Spain and other European countries attend the Brussels show every year to exhibit their latest collections in a prestigious location, such as the Brussels Expo.  

The Brussels Expo is the largest exhibition area in Belgium; its Art Deco buildings stand as testimony of the artistic movement that thrived in Europe in between the two World Wars.  

A perfect venue for national and international events, the Brussels Expo welcomes every year thousands of visitors, hosting a diverse program of events, from design to automotive, from wellness to food, from art to music, all surrounded by the cultural excitement and enthusiastic energy spreading from Brussels, the European capital.    

During the Salon du Meuble, Brussels Expo’s areas are divided into sectors so that visitors can easily find their way around the exhibition and discover all new introductions about the world of design.   

Another distinctive trait of the Salon du Meuble de Bruxelles is the general atmosphere of the place, which is at the same time professional and outgoing thanks to the presence of sector’s key international players and dedicated social spaces, such as lounge bars offering free drinks where people can relax or have informal business meetings. 

Within this scenery, visitors will be able to experience Calia Italia’s comfort experience. 

At the Salon du Meuble de Bruxelles quite a few models will be under the spotlight: the Venere, shown to the public in all available versions - sofa, dormeuse and chair - the Fox Trot, Johnny and Lazy, shown in modular configurations, and the brand new Toby Wing together with the company’s most renowned chair collection: Giuggiola, Deliziosa, Deliziante and Jacob.

Two new models belonging to the sofa bed collection will be introduced in Brussels:  Alfa and Gamma_1, two products featuring Calia Italia’s style outlining all those characteristics that turn a sofa bed in a true comfort experience. Specifically model Gamma_1 features a 20 cm mattress, thus guaranteeing the same comfort of a bed, keeping the functionality of a sofa.
